Description
Project 2020 for Beginner Strings Resource Books will teach beginner string students the following:
Kodaly Elements - use voice to speak & sing - solfege syllables & hand signs
Orff Elements - use body movement & body percussion to internalize notes/rests
Music Notation - staff, clef, time signatures, key signatures, measure, barline...
Music Theory - pick up notes, ostinato, intervals, triads, major/minor scale...
Body Percussion to learn rhythm (beat, notes & rests) - stomp, pat, clap, snap
Notes & Rests - quarter, eighth, half, dotted half, whole, 2 & 4 beat syncopation, sixteenth, eighth-2sixteenths, & dotted eighth-sixteenth
Songs sequenced rhythmically using Kodaly rhythm syllables, numbers (counting)
Songs sequenced melodically using solfege syllables (do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do'), hand signs & letter names [a-b-c-d-e-f-g-a']
