Kodaly Method Level 2: Songs for Orff Ensemble contains 26 sequenced songs according to the Zoltan Kodaly pedagogy. Songs will teach the following pitches: so, mi, la, do, re, and high do’. Songs will teach the following rhythms: quarter note, quarter rest, 2 eighth notes, half note, dotted half note, whole note, 4 sixteenth notes, and dotted quarter note. The songs in the songbook include: I’ve Got The Rhythm, March With Me, Bells In The Steeple, One Two Three Alary, Who Has The Penny, Why Shouldn’t My Goose, Little Sally Moore, Mousie Mousie, The Closet Key, Fais Do Do, Hot Cross Buns, Winds Of Evening, Pease Porridge Hot, Hop Old Squirrel, Them Bones, Good News, Jim Along Josie, Grandma Grunts, Who’s That, Mary Had A Little Lamb, Here Comes A Bluebird, Button You Must Wander, One of My Dumplin’s Gone, Tiny Bubbles, Rocky Mountain, and I Had A Cat. Instrumentation is as follows: soprano voice, recorder, glockenspiels, xylophones, metallophones, ukulele, guitar, bongos, congas, tambourine, guiro, claves, and maracas.
