Kodaly Method Level 3: Songs for Orff Ensemble contains 25 sequenced songs according to the Zoltan Kodaly pedagogy. Songs will teach the following pitches: so, mi, la, do, re, fa, ti, high do’, low So, low La, and low Ti. Songs will teach the following rhythms: quarter note, quarter rest, 2 eighth notes, half note, whole note, dotted quarter note, dotted half note, one eighth note, eighth rest, 4 sixteenth notes, and 1 eighth 2 sixteenth notes. The songs in the songbook include: I Had A Cat, Li’l Liza Jane, Tideo, Rise and Shine, When The Train Comes Along, Boil Them Cabbage Down, Juba, Whistle Daughter Whistle, This Old Man, Fiddle Dee Dee, Rise Up Old Flame, The Silver Birch, Oh Shenandoah, Come Sailing With Me, Deep And Wide, Hush Little Baby, Scotland’s Burning, Goodbye Old Paint, Dreamland Opens Here, Brother John, Oh John The Rabbit, Hush A Bye Little Papoose, Land Of The Silver Birch, Wayfaring Stranger, and Now Let Me Fly.
